The Canadian songwriter, Jepsen, saw immediate success from the pop hit, as she reached number one on Mainstream Top 40 in the United States after doing so across the globe, in countries such as Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Hungary, Ireland, and New Zealand, to name a few.
